Members' catering

Eating has never been so much fun at the Royal Cornwall Show.

Once again for 2008, Scott Young and his team at Concierge Catering will be providing a wide range of catering facilities for members with a strong focus on Cornish food and drink.

Members Catering

All the members' bars, cafes and restaurants will be decorated in a Cornish theme - and wherever possible, all the food will be sourced in the county. From locally made pies in the bar to three course meals with an international flavour, the food will be Cornish through and through.

Meals will be prepared in three specially-created kitchens and a total of 40 staff will be brought in to provide a catering service "with the wow factor," says Scott Young, who runs several successful restaurants in the county.

Start your day at the show with Breakfast - available from 8.00 to 10.30 am. Both Full English or Continental Breakfasts will be on offer or why not try a bacon sandwich?

The Members’ Bar

This year will offer a wide selection of local ales. As well as the normal spirits and keg beers a selection of wines and Bollinger Champagne will be provided, to suit all palates.

Food Court

Once again surrounding a spacious indoor seating area which also incorporates a large bar serving alcoholic drinks, wines, champagne, soft drinks, coffee and teas. Promoting food from a range of Cornish producers who excel in what they do, the food court will comprise the following range of superb Cornish food including

  • Cornish Carvery - serving beef, port and lamb in assorted breads or as a tasting platter.
  • Seafood Bar - the seafood bar will this year feature king prawns, smoked salmon, fresh crab and a selection of shellfish. Freshness is guaranteed and quality assured with much produce from our own Cornish waters.
  • Asian Bar - a mix of Cornish ingredients and Thai, Indian and Malaysian Curries, all served with condiments and fragrant rice.
  • Sandwich Bar - a selection of hand made baguettes will be offered using some of the Westcountry's finest ingredients.
  • Dessert and Ice Cream Bar - Callestick award winning Cornish ice cream, or why not try some Cornish Boddington's strawberrys with Rodda's Clotted Cream.
