Pavilion Centre

Brilliant new venue for business and pleasure

Pavilion Centre

The Pavilion Centre at the Royal Cornwall showground is a brand new venue for business, entertainment and private functions.

It continues a long tradition of hospitality provision at the showground.

Within the pavilion, the function rooms have been named after a number of ancient Cornish estates whose families have played a vital role in the long-standing success of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association.

With a main hall, 'The Tregothnan Suite', which will seat up to 300 people theatre-style and over 200 for dinner – and take even more for standing events – the striking building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities which will help make any function run smoothly.

The main hall breaks down to create two smaller, though still expansive spaces. There are four further function / meeting rooms of varying sizes - the 'Antony', 'Trebartha', 'Trewithen' and 'Pencarrow' rooms - with capacities from 10 to 80 people, depending on the room layout required, plus a striking central lounge area.

Also being installed is a full commercial-standard kitchen, a bar and plentful toilet and cloakroom facilities.

Wireless broadband facilities will be available for clients to use.

Outside, there is ample, free parking for all guests and the centre is set in spectacular countryside within the showground, which is well placed for access from the whole of Cornwall. Entrance is direct from the A39.

The timber-built building has been designed and built by Derbyshire based Pinelog Limited, specialists in this type of project, and fits well with the other structures seen on the showground during the annual Royal Cornwall Show.

It is constructed on three levels (served by a lift as well as stairs), with the lower level being largely underground. Large windows provide superb views across surrounding countryside and the whole structure is built to high environmental standards.

This is a landmark building, planned to provide a focus for all business in the county and as a venue for enjoyable and successful functions and events.

Top quality catering will be provided by a choice of three local specialists, Concierge Catering (Scott Young), Barnett Fare and The Old Inn of St Breward who will also operate the bar facility.

Enquiries about booking the Pavilion Centre are being taken now with an experienced specialist manager due to join the showground team from late February 2008.

It will be available for use from after the 2008 Royal Cornwall Show on 5th, 6th & 7th of June during which the official opening will take place.
